Stirling game date

Post by Flasher » Tue Nov 28, 2017 7:56 pm

Last Saturday’s cancelled fixture against Stirling Albion will now be played next Tuesday 5th December.Pity it couldn’t be on a Saturday but given we are still in the Scottish Cup there wasn’t much chance of that.

Thoroughly deserved win, in fact should have been finished at 1/2 time. Starting to grind out results, a game that could easily have been lost earlier in the season but there is a different attitude about this squad now. Nice to see the Gaffer seem relaxed and happy after the match. More of the same please :)

Again we were not at our best but good to get another win without really hitting top form. We were the better team for the most part but still get sloppy every now & again at the back & give the ball away too easily in midfield now & then. It was apparent that Rory was struggling with his back a bit even before half-time & on another night he should have had another match ball to take home as a number of chances got away from him but kept battling away, his goal took a big deflection but winning when not at our best & getting the odd break for a change is not a bad thing.
As a wee aside from last night it was good to see Cammy Kerr among our support last night, as usual he was made welcome & personally was glad to have a chance of a catch up with him a fine loon.

Wasn't at the game but an excellent result making it three wins and three clean sheets in a row. If we can keep it tight at the back which we have done after the Stenny game then we always have a chance of winning with Rory up front.

Worrying though about Rory. Thought he didn't look 100% against Edinburgh and sounds like he might be carrying an injury. The thing is that now we are top is there a good time to rest him?
