Tom Lang

Great to see us occupying the No 1 spot but many teams are breathing down our neck and it looks like it will be quite a challenge to retain this spot. I read that Stranraer’s 20-year-old centre-back Tom Lang will train with us next week as the Blues consider a move for him in January. He appears to have moved around a lot for a young player. Thoughts anyone?

Only played five games this season for Stranraer. Jim is probably looking to bolster our defensive positions as we can't go through the carry on we had last season with midfielders playing in defence due to injuries and suspensions which probably cost us the relegation..Loan players were not the answer.

Hopefully we can get someone even better.

Might sound strange after a 6-2 thrashing of the league leaders but January would be the ideal time to strenghten the squad before the inevitable injuries and suspensions kick in.

Some defensive cover is essential and wouldn't be against a proven striker who could chip in a few goals if one became available.

Glad we haven't gone down the loan route this season as they are expected to play regardless but a couple of good signings could make sure we get out of this division.
