It's not over until the fat lady sings

Sounds like a nail biting game today with a late invaluable winner! What topsy turvy results on many fronts although I was not too surprised by Clyde's win but the margin was! So the pressure is now on Montrose to win their game in hand against Cowdenbeath who drew away at Stirling. As someone said, ti may go all the way to the line!

First half in particular we battered the Annan, their answer was to batter us physically & for much of the time the ref let them get on with it before eventually sending off their No5 for standing on Karims head, there was a lot of nasty stuff going on sometimes with the ball nowhere near. They were content to play for the draw & wasted time at every chance, changed tack after going one down. Fine goal from Jamie although I must admit I thought it may have been heading over, just reward for the ground he covered during the thought either him or Alan Smith should have got MOTM

If anyone knows the fat lady can they please gaffer tape her mouth shut.

Much, much better performance in a game we totally dominated as a corner count of 20-1 shows. The only issues were it looked like we might never score and Rory looked to be clearly unfit not even protesting when he was substituted. Not sure why all the reports are saying Jamie's goal was a cross / come shot as I was standing not far from him and I would say he definitely meant it. Superb ball control and an even better finish. Top quality, and shows how much we need him to not be stuck at right back (he was listed as right back but had the freedom to make forward runs as Annan packed their defence).

Wonder if the post match comments from the Annan manager are tongue in cheek as he said they might have to make plans to take Jamie out next time they meet which hopefully won't be for a long time. Annan's game plan appeared to be focused on taking our players out the whole match by whatever means they could get away with and they got away with a lot. Don't they know that Wrestlemania is not until next month.

A liitle bit of hope with the Montrose result but it's still out of our hands and another big game to come against an in form Clyde this week. Hopefully we can keep it going and Rory can get fully fit or he might regret signing a two year contract extension.

Well we now know the date and time for the fat lady concert - Saturday at 4.45pm. We just don't have the venue confirmed - either Balmoor or Links Park.

Normally we'd be happy with 5 straight wins but Montrose have equalled it and so we can only hope that the nerves kick in and Elgin can beat them.

For us it's a bit of a dilemma. We need to beat Edinburgh but do we put out a full strength team and risk injuries etc if we are to be in the playoffs or do we give some others some game time or rest some with a potential four games in 10 days.

If it is the playoffs then first up will be either Stirling or Stenny who will face each other in a showdown on Saturday.
