The "Moray Rapper' is the brother of former Forres Mechanics player, Brian Minty!

Ah, Brian Minty! Lovely guy and a fantastic goalscorer. You'd never think that bespectacled chap was a footballer to see him in his 'civvies' but once he got a strip on .......

Mo, you wouldn't happen to have an Irish surname would you?

The initials betray an Irish lineage ie, M O' D. Were you familiar with Morayshire football you should be aware who he is. This is especially tue if you are a frequent visitor to the Elgin City 'message board'.
Brian Minty - A prolfic scorer with Forres, but surprisingly never seemed to be on the purchasing radar of the so-called bigger spending clubs around then - Huntly, Elgin and Caley. The first named heavily into securing Aberdeen based players

Hi shaver,

An Irish surname I truly have, but I've never gone into just how far back that lineage goes! But I take it that it's not the Irish surname that interests you, and that it'sthe fact that you are probably a former Peterhead player who knows me!

If you're interested in a contact for a chat, I'm easily found!

By the way, Popeye, I finally have contact with Ally Shewan, after all this time, and it's amazing how the network goes, as he's been in contact with Hammy too, so things are starting to move!!!!!

Hi Popeye,

Just re-read your post, and the fact that you couldn't understand why Brian Minty was never on other clubs radar!!

Believe me he was, ans particularly Elgin's! We tried on numerous occassions to prise Brian away from Forres, and it was never going to happen! Brian worked for me for a long time, and I used to try and influence him (I believe the word "Tapping" would be more appropriate), but I take my hat of to the guy, he always said that the only club for him was Forres Mechanics!!!!

There aren't many players like that around!!!!!

Peterhead's John Sievwright and the 'Stinkies' goalie Billy Gordon and Michael Stephen come to mind.
