Grand National tips 2011

Post by Drummonds Drammer » Wed Mar 30, 2011 8:13 pm

Maybe a wee bit early but the Nationals in 2 weeks time on April 9th.

My tip this year is Silver By Nature.
Scottish horse owned by St.Johnstones owner,
Last Scottish horse to win the National was Rubstic in 1979.
Last grey to win was Nicholas Silver in 1961.
Likes the soft ground so hopefully raining a bit next week.
You can still get 16/1 for it but you could have caught 33-40/1 in mid Feb.

Ruby Walsh playing safe and already picked The Midnight Club - Mullens yard and 8/1 fav.

What a Friend (Co-owned by Sir Alec F.) could go close too.

Wot you eens on? :?:
The plural of 'you' my southern friends is(believe it or not).......YOU.

Arite en Akie-whats this years winner? :?:

I'm gan for Killyglen for obvious reasons. Cud've got 33/1 last month but that's the gamble if you want to bet Ante-Post.
Now down to @ 16/1.
Will shop around later in the week.

Obvious choices of Synchronized and Ballabriggs again but both high weighted by the Handicapper.
Guff lands actually had some rain this week so going looks like being Good to Soft. :!:

Stuck my money on here at TAB in NZ and backed the following 3 horses:

Planet of Sound at 30/1

Sunnyhillboy at 17/1

Giles cross 20/1
They're looking at me and I'm saying, it's not me, it's not me!!

Nah, TAB here did not hiv each way betting, so it was all on the nose. Close but no cigar, thought it was going to hold on.
